Purpose — Goals

Our program believes in learning through play. We will help get your child ready for kindergarten with music, playtime, hands–on activities, love and guidance.
Enrollment — Admission Policy
Enrollment begins each February for the following school year. Registration forms will be made available on our website once registration begins. Payment for registration fee is to be received in the preschool within 72 hours of online registration in order to hold your child's place. Please write child's name on the memo line of your check. Students are eligible for enrollment if they are 2, 3 or 4 years old by August 1st of the year in which they attend school. Children eligible for the 3 and up classes must be potty trained.
Daily Activities
Group Time— Students gather together at circle time for stories, singing, finger plays, show & tell, calendar, weather, current events and the theme—based lesson of the day.
Free Time— Children choose to participate in a wide variety of classroom activities.
Leader Experiences— Students rotate responsibilities such as line leader, talking about the calendar and weather, and helping during snack time.
Arts & Crafts— Daily creative activities are incorporated into free time and allow children to experiment with a wide assortment of media and processes.
Snack — This is a learning experience as well as an energy booster. We always say a prayer and work on our table manners!
Active Play— Children enjoy physical exercise and play on the outdoor playground or inside in Fellowship Hall.
Clean Up— Students help clean their play area and classroom after free time.
Class Size
Class sizes are limited to 12 students in the 2 year old class, 16 students in the 3-year old classes and 20 students in the 4/5-year old classes. There is a teacher and teacher assistant in each classroom.
Facilities
Classrooms are arranged to facilitate learning, play and social development. A wide variety of activities allow children to explore their world. Pre-K classrooms are located on the first floor of First Presbyterian Church. Additionally, a fenced-in outdoor playground and an indoor space (Fellowship Hall) are available for recreation.
